The Case for Boy Scouts Fishing Program

11-Mar-2016 8:19 AM | Michael Brand (Administrator)

We serve many roles as a BSA Certified Angling Instructor.  One of our roles is to build awareness of the opportunities and the benefits achieved by a high quality fishing program offering at the Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Venturing Programs. We also try to build awareness of the opportunities and the benefits that can be provided by activities run at Unit, District, Council, and Regional Levels.

At the recent Fishing Task Force Meeting we discussed the following document titled: The Case for Boy Scouts Fishing Program.pdf

We encourage you to share this piece with other Scouters within your Unit, District, Council, and Region.  By building awareness in others, of the opportunities and benefits achieved through a high quality fishing program, we should be provided increased program opportunities.

Increased program opportunities will lead to greater impact to Scouts and Scouters as together we strive to achieve the Aims of Scouting.  FISH ON!
